"My lady please."

Her cries went unanswered, the slender fingers that once struck the cords of her bow more beautifully than any lyre or harp, now scrambled brokenly at the cliffs sheer edge.
Another strangled cry ripped its way from her throat, sounding more frightened than she cared to admit as she failed to find purchase in the grassless cluster of pebbles she clung to.

"Please- I-I didnt mean it! Please please please! I'll be better I can take it back!

Her pleas fell on deaf ears, the scowling face of lady Artemis staring down at the young huntress- no ex huntress, with something akin to grief.

"Lady Artemis-"

"Goodbye Carina"

And Artemis was gone, leading the rest of the hunters away. The only sign they were ever there was the soft cries of grief that even her less vulnerable comrades had left her with.

A parting gift, she supposed.

And with a sigh much like the one Artemis graced her with mere moments ago, Carina let go.

If she was someone else she might've closed her eyes, accepted what was to come with a tired resignation, but she was not someone else.

Carina Victoria Sanchez fell with her eyes firmly on the moon, the softest of smiles gracing her lips as she took her final breathe.
"Goodbye my lady"

And then the last lieutenant of Artemis, who had been in service for hundreds of years and done it well, hit the ground.

She's gone. She's gone. How can she just be gone? She could be hurt or dead, who knows. Fox's vision blurred and her knees felt weak. Fear. Deep, uncontrollable fear, so raw it hurt, gripped her chest. She could feel her heart hammering and her throat was tightening. She tried to keep herself from hyperventilating, but couldn't seem to get enough oxygen into her lungs. Neck breaking out in a sweat, she shuddered uncontrollably. No, no, no, not now. Don't panic now. You haven't had an attack in years! Don't break that record now, not in front of all these people! But it was no use. Fox could feel the panic settling in, suffocating her. The faces of the dozens of people blurred together, drowning her. Why did there have to be so many of them? She could face down monstrous hydras, cyclopes, gorgons, even sirens without the slightest fear, but somehow a large crowd of people was enough to make her break out into a cold sweat. But it wasn't the horde that was terrifying her at the moment, though they certainly weren't helping any. The only face that filled her vision at the moment was Aviva's. Oh, gods. Not her. Please not her. I can't lose her too. Not after- "I-I can't breathe." ****** When Fox's little sister Aviva gets kidnapped from her home in Camp Jupiter and held for ransom, Fox will do anything to save her. Along with her friends, Fox forms uneasy alliances in a desperate attempt to find her. What happens when Greeks and Romans clash once again? Will they be able to set aside their differences and work together? ****** This is a fanfiction. All rights go to our humble and fearless leader, Uncle Rick.

"I don't know what's gotten into you, but the last thing I want is to find her dead," she muttered, "Even Clarisse would be sure of that about me. It almost feels like you don't know me at all." "Exactly," he turned to look at her, "I actually don't know you. Not as much as Harris, who by the way couldn't care less to talk to Chiron about Annabeth." (๑•́ ₃ •̀๑) Things were getting normal. Y/N Y/L/N is finally trying to get used to these feelings she kept in for Percy. While they started meeting up sometimes and hanging out, two new members joined them - one, being Thalia and the other being Harris. She felt the change in the atmosphere whenever he joined. Well, to be specific when he was around the one she fell in love with. Although, things are soon about to get worse. An ancient monster has arisen - one rumored to be so powerful it could destroy Olympus - and Artemis, the only goddess who might know how to track it, is missing. Now Percy and his friends, along with the Hunters of Artemis, have only a week to find the kidnapped goddess and solve the mystery of the monster she was hunting. Percy is beginning to get confused about the way he feels whenever he met Harris. Y/N on the other hand receives a bolt out of the blue when she faces the truth her friends have been hiding from her. Along the way, they must face their most dangerous challenge yet: the chilling prophecy of the titan's curse. (๑•́ ₃ •̀๑) Book Cover Art by Shan Hitori (@Prithvi_Hitori) on Twitter.
