Looking for some humour? Plus a dash of depressing? Look no further, for this is the poetry book for you.
WAIT! STOP! I know what you're thinking. "Poetry is boring and makes no sense! Anyone could make a poem by just linking a couple of words together."
But before you scroll past, at least appreciate this mini work of mine:
Poems are boring
They never make sense
But I can change your mind
If you give me a chance
Poets are broke
They can't earn a cent
Yet this is my passion
(I can hardly pay rent)
Poetry is pointless!
Stories are complete
Why not do both?
A poem only takes
A minute to read

Poems
DO NOT PUT LINKS IN THE COMMENTS!!!!!Just so it is clear this is the only book i have actually put any effort into putting together. So it may not be the best, but i tried. The poems included in here are a way for me to vent about things. They are a way to express what i feel.I haven't really shared any of these with people that i know. Some of these are what i really think and/or feel, some are just what comes to mind. Some of these poems are inspired by things around me. Abroad
The purpose of this poetry book is one of defiance. Not to others, or anything in particular. It is against the war we wage internally, against ourselves every day. There is no bigger challenge in life than facing your thoughts, your true emotions, your feelings when you lie alone at night by yourself, cornered. We tend to postpone them, shelf them, as we grow accustomed to our daily activities, never giving ourselves a chance to evaluate ourselves. Who are we? what do we lack? what do we need? In this book, I took it upon myself to air out all of my grievances, my intimate thoughts, my happiness, my disappointments, my sadness all out in the open, for all to see. I wanted to face it all. To stare my mortality dead in the eyes, and let the lingering stare sit, I wanted to simmer the feeling of weakness, of every single type of emotion, completely digest it, and let it manifest genuinely, reading it, again and again, perfecting it, again and again, until the feeling of pain subsides. I there is anything that I want you to take from this book, is time. Yes, just a word, time. It goes by, so have not regrets, and never leave something from saying. If you are looking for a sign to remind you, to tell you parents, brothers, sisters, daughters, grandparents, wives, friends you love them? This is it...Concluida
Thresheld
My life is a series of thresholds that I overcome through poetry. Love, loss, pain, regret, humor, irony, word play, and even sarcasm are as much apart of my life as they are central to my poems here. I am Thresheld. UPDATE: It's been quite a few years since I started this book, and it has become rather prolific. I am currently working on organizing my poetry to make it easy to navigate. For now I've posted my recommendations and a few favorite shorts. Feel free to check out anything here there is no order you need to read in and there isn't any separation of emotional content so who knows what you might get. Anyways leave a comment, pretty please :3Concluida
Mind {Prose Vol. 2}✔
❝In my mind, there is pain. I am exhausted. I feel defeat from my hair tips to my feet- my body feels the stress weighing down on my shoulders. I try and try every day, but nothing seems to go my way. In my mind, there is pain, yet I try because one day, I will feel great. The body, mind, and soul are connected, and it is up to us to determine how to respect them.❞ - Me These writings are my observations and perspectives, some full of laughter and fun, others painful and dark, suffocating, leaving me with nowhere to run. ✿✿✿✿✿✿✿ A collection of unedited poems I wrote extemporaneously (ages 16-18), as well as a chockfull of quotes. This books contains my: Poems 105- & Quotes 96-175. Formerly known as: ❛My Poems and Quotes Book (Vol. II),❜ 2017-2020. Volume Two of My Poems and Quotes. Feel free to check out Volume I, labelled as ❛Body,❜ on my profile. Don't forget to vote and comment; I love engaging with you guys! :D ✿✿✿✿✿✿✿Concluida
Life experiences
I've been through my own struggle, whether it was created in my head by way of prolonged sadness or bitterness/resentment, or if I was struggling with things I had no control over like failed friendships, a broken heart, or family drama. This is my advice to you based off of my life experiences. Along with pieces of life experience advice I've included poetry and spoken word pieces from different perspectives and I try to break down life into beautiful words that people can relate to and see that we all struggle- you're not alone and we are each so valuable.Concluida
Me Working Through It
Just a bunch of poems I write to help get through life. You can see my journey through anxiety, friendships, relationships, sexuality confusion, family nonsense and depression. You might relate. I love comments (including grammar corrections). I do not own the artwork, I give credit to the artist when I can find it. I do own the poems so please give me credit and all that stuff. I do doubt anyone would be using my poetry for anything but anyway. I have a new book titled 'You.' which you'll be able to find in my account. I will only be updating that book from now on instead of this one as this one is completed.Concluida
