An Undertale AU where Chara gains sentience and realizes that these "endings" and "routes" are all just a game.

An Undertale Fanfiction I wrote when I was much younger. It's really bad, but this story holds precious memories. It definitely gets better much later on, but please bear with it's humble beginnings.

I was hesitant to post this at first, as Undertale had died down considerably since its release in 2015, but this story is precious piece of an era when life was better.Public Domain

Soon after that, Chara joins a new family, but their ambition to keep everyone happy goes a little overboard and Chara is flung into a reality of destruction and hopeless wonder. Then many long years later they meet the beloved Frisk, who fell into the Underground, similar to themselves. That means no Soriel, Papyton, etc. The only ships are Torgore (in the past) and Alphyne. •This is NOT an x reader. I heavily dislike those types of stories. The reader will have no part in this. •This exists outside of canon to an extreme. For example, Frisk is the second human and not the eighth. •There will be OCs, but only for a few humans and they still technically exist in normal Undertale. •There is a sequel. I'm planning on rewriting it after this one, as it is much more random and definitely needs it. Clanky, plot holes/retconning, etc. It's more of an OC thing, to explore them and their issues, than an Undertale thing, but it has its similarities. •There will be some explicitives. It won't be unnecessary or excessive, only when it fits the situation and character. I will not be using any slurs, as that's just plain disrespectful, even if some of them apply to me. A feeling of felicity bubbled within my stomach. It was weird...since this man kidnaped me and all, but...I wasn't afraid-not a sense of qualm within my body. I was relaxed and eased...I wasn't afraid, which I guess, made me enjoy his presence. He was a God and I was the measly beggar before him...Oh, how I just wanted him to hold me...wait...what am I saying? "'Snap out of it Blu! He kidnaped you! This isn't some Stockholm Syndrome thriller! He's going to kill you if you don't do something!!'" Despite the edge my conscious clearly announced, I felt at peace. I was happy-no anxiety, no sadness...just bliss...he treated me well and I loved him...but, did he feel the same?" - This is kind of like an AU? Like Chara is an actual human not a video game character, along with Frisk who pops in or is mentioned a few times throughout the story. This story contains smut (it's shitty regardless, lol) and swearing, maybe, and it's between two males. If you're not into gay stuff, then this story is not the right one for you. :) It's also written in third person, not first person, like the description is...oops? Warning/TW: This fanfic may contain depictions of self harm, self hate, themes about depresion, mention of suicide(i will mention before each chapter if that part has any of those things, not the whole book will be dark like that); it may and will contain Undertale/Deltarune spoilers aaand a bunch swearings. After Frisk decided that they shouldn't have gone back to their family instead of staying with the Dremurr family, they decide it's time to head back to the underground, to help with moving. This ended up saving their life and mental health, yet other problems remain to be doscovered.
