Calypso has given up all hope and has begun to live life in the shadows, forgetting to feel true emotion. She doesn't want to connect with anyone, since everyone she loved has only hurt her, Calypso finds it easier to lock her heart closed. Yet when a new student, bubbly cheerful and forever smiling 'Leo Valdez' appears in her life no matter how hard Calypso tries, her heart can't help bursting open for him. Leo is also looking for someone to grasp onto after a terrible family death has left him alone in the world, trying as hard as he can for the beautifully, meaningfully secretive girl Calypso's heart.
