Behind the Bleachers

Garrett is a high school senior who is secretly gay but maintains a straight façade due to the homophobic environment at his Catholic school. He struggles with his identity, hiding his true self from his peers and even his girlfriend, Lia. Despite having supportive friends and family, Garrett faces discrimination and abuse from his father, who is unaware of his sexuality. Memories of his past relationship with Liam, who broke his heart, haunt him. Garrett finds solace in Nick, a fellow student who is openly gay, but fears being associated with him due to the school's homophobic culture. As Garrett navigates his complicated emotions and relationships, he grapples with the fear of rejection and longing for acceptance.
