The King of Negativity found a way to separate himself from his host, Night. Taking the name Nightmare, he was now his own person, leader of the Nightmare Gang.
With one catch, however.
If Night were to die, Nightmare would also cease to exist. But he can't let the prince go free, because Night knew everything about his Gang. Weaknesses, plans, everything. So what is a guy supposed to do?

Most viewed him as an insane overlord high on power, but he radiated far too much calculation and control for blind madness to be the cause of his personality. No, he was smart. Incredibly so. He best be, as he ran an entire kingdom of misery and suffering just out of reach from the universe's nosey "Saviors." Cross had a difficult time deciphering his master's intentions. One may argue that he had no choice in being the ravenous king he is now, but that life had forced him down the path long ago for the sake of feeding. That's what this is all for after all. The pain and suffering. It was to feed the king. Cross couldn't despise him for such a basic necessity, no matter how foreign the concept and how often hunger turned the king's attention his way.

Nightmare - the Guardian of Negativity - is known for being calm, collected and an all about respectable figure. He rarely falters when making a decision, never sugarcoats the facts of the situation and he most definitely doesn't let his emotions take control of him. Given those facts, there must be a logical reason as to why he's avoiding anything to do with Error, right? Sure, Error isn't the nicest to be around, but Nightmare of all people has never shown any hint of dislike towards him; if anything, it's the opposite. He had been serving 'the one who takes' for quite some years. Most of the creatures in the batches of new recruits either died or betrayed their king. But Cross would never do that. The god had given him a home, friends, a new purpose, a second chance at life to prove his worth. In exchange Cross served him, stayed by his side, devoted his life to him in such a manner that it almost could be called worshiping. He was a god, afterall. Cross knew he would do anything for Nightmare. He'd kill for him, had killed for him, he'd protect him, even die for him. And if that couldn't be achieved, well, then he'd die with him.

The Star sanses won and the multiverse is now at peace. But what happened to the terrifying king of negativity? Well let's say he's not a terrifying king of negativity anymore. He's now rather a very shy, confused and traumatized skeleton. My writing isn't great, so just be aware that this is probably trash.
