No one ever goes into the dead cities for long, but that changes with the creation of a task force, designed to seek out the secrets of the wasteland. No one is more surprised than Aubrey when she's assigned to it, but she takes it willingly enough, on the off chance she'll find her best friend Shane.
Now the only girl on the team, and forced to get along with wild card Kai, Aubrey is sent into the wasteland on a commander's whim.
