"Bye everyone I'm off to work" Esther's dad said

"Bye daddy, come home soon" 10 year old Esher said hugging her dad goodbye

"Bye Honey, please stay safe" Esther mom said as they kissed

"Ew mommy, daddy" Esther said disgusted as her parents chuckled

Esther and her mom wave goodbye to him as he pulled off the driveway. As Esther went to bed she heard her mom on a phone call with someone.

"I'm sorry we tried to save him but he's gone" The person on the phone said

"No, nononono, there has to be a mistake." Esther's mom said in confusion and shock

"I'm sorry, the records don't lie" The person on the phone said and hanged up

That day Esther's life completely changed.

"YOU BRAT" Esther's mom yelled at 14 year old Esther Hitting her repeatedly

At this point Esther was used to it her mom did this every time she drank to make her pain from her father dying go away. The neighbors heard the screaming and called the police and police arrested Esther's Mother for child abuse and now she is a foster child. Esther has been through many homes some saw her as a meal ticket while others saw her as a way out of there problems.
