Rose Dursley: The Girl Who Lived by ems-kitty-xx

Harry Potter, the boy who lived. The most famous boy in the wizarding world has to be hidden. After his parents are killed, Dumbledore has to make sure Harry is never found by Voldemort. So he uses powerful magic to transform Harry into a girl. Now called Rose, she is brought up by her aunt and uncle, the Dursleys. Dumbledore also changes their memories so they believe that Rose is their own daughter. As she grows up, Rose learns nothing about the wizarding world, or her true identity. That is until she turns 11, and a letter arrives to invite her to Hogwarts. As Rose gets older, she learns all about magic, but she also learns more about her own feelings and starts to question her identity. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A/N. So I had the idea of writing a version of the story where Harry was born a girl, but there are loads like that already, so I thought I would try instead doing a kind of LGBTQ+ version where he is transformed and then has to deal with experiencing this difference of gender identity. But I'm not very knowledgeable about all the gender identity stuff, so I'm sorry if I get anything wrong, and please feel free to message me so I can try and fix it. Also, trigger warning; the story gets a bit dark after he comes out as trans male. He has to deal with the conflict from other characters that don't accept his identity at first. So some of the mean ones are transphobic and misgendering etc. But I'm going to let you know now that there will be a happy ending eventually, so hopefully it won't be too hard to get through the difficult parts.

His Mother, accused of being a mass murderer and follower of Voldemort was subjected to the dementors kiss. His father, heartbroken, abandoned his only son and committed suicide. The Ministry plans to never tell Y/N that he's a wizard, and keep him in the muggle world forever, living in a Muggle orphanage. However Albus Dumbledore has different ideas. Deliberately defying the Ministry's orders, he gives Y/N his Hogwarts letter in person. Y/N attends his first year of Hogwarts, where he is relentlessly bullied by his classmates. Until he meets Harry Potter and his friends, who accept him for who he is. Now officially a part of the Hogwarts Trio, Y/N embarks on an adventure he'll never forget, and also learns quite a bit about himself. ---------------------------------------------------------------- Book 1 of 7 Hermione x Male Reader Any writing you may recognise belongs to J. K. Rowling. This story is heavily inspired by the great Male Reader Harry Potter fan fictions I've read.
