Mature
Brooklyn, New York, 1902. Young Caterina Mangano goes missing after attending a dance and is later found dead in an alleyway. Her younger brother Frankie takes it especially hard, and vows revenge on her killer, if he is ever found. Four years later, a drunken sailor in a harbour bar brags about having got away with murder ... (CW: rape, violence.)

This is an extended version of a part of the backstory for a 1920s gangster character in "Vampire: The Masquerade", and sort of acts as his origin story: how a sweet 12-year-old boy that no one took seriously transformed into intimidating mob muscle. The premise is that the Manganos are an influential Sicilian mafia family in New York, which isn't historically accurate (there was no "Mangano Crime Family" at all in 1902 - the one from history didn't form until the 1930s). But hey, it's World of Darkness, not real life, so 100% historical accuracy has not been prioritised. (There were phones, I'm just not sure they were quite as prevalent as I made them out to be.)

Apologies for the language mangling in an attempt to write a New York accent. (I'm Swedish and have lived all my life in the UK.) It's lovingly meant.
