"You don't want to lose." Ally heard the girl say, her voice cracked and fell. Ally shivered at the sound of her, not because it was the first time she had heard any of them speak, but because of the way her voice faltered, as if she truly had no words. Ally heard the girl start walking away from her, and before she could ask her to explain why, the girl's ice cold voice continued, 

"There are things far worse than death." At that instant, the lights flickered back on. It was then that Ally noticed her arms. 

Bite marks engulfed the skin of her arms. Some old, some new. Most were bloody and bruised. Others looked to be infected. How had Ally not noticed them until now? 

It was Ally's turn for her eyes to glisten with tears as she realized she was not going to be okay.

She was not going to make it out of here.
