Her body stiffened at my words, and she looked at me with numb eyes. I gave a small smile and continued, "I myself don't know how and when it happened, but I started falling for you, Ankita. I realize that I can't live with-" Before I could finish, she slap me hard, shocking me. I looked back at her, holding my burning cheek. She was looking at me with teary eyes."Ankita," I murmured in shock. "How could you, Aryan? I didn't expect you to stoop so low," she said, her innocent eyes now filled with pure disgust. I tried to explain, "Ankita, you're misunderstanding everything. I-" "Do you even know what relationship I share with you? I'm your brother's wife, your bhabhi, for God's sake! And you're lusting after your own bhabhi?" she spat at me, her words cutting deep. My entire body froze, and my eyes blurred with tears. I took a step back, the painful lump in my throat making it hard to speak. Is loving someone such a crime nowadays? What's my fault? Can anyone tell me? My intentions were never wrong. I swallowed hard, trying to keep my emotions in check. Ankita, a young widow, and her journey towards healing and love.
