Life has it in for Emma Brown.
It never has been a very happy, carefree life for her, especially when her dad left her mother and her when she was around 5 years old. She knows nothing about him, not even a name. But she isn't bothered with it, music keeps her busy and passionate.
Being the ''daughter'' of the Police Chief ( Step father; Christian Brown) doesn't make you very cool either.
But it has been good, until she meets Harry Styles on a party. Besides the fact that his second name literally could be ''Trouble'' he is a very difficult guy. Nobody really can figure him out. And he likes to keep it that way, especially when he desperately tries to keep something hidden.
