Geneva Blake is a Freak. Or at least that's what she's always been told. She shouldn't be alive, they say. In the town called Saunder, Geneva is prejudiced for the things she can do. Voodoo, they claim. But they couldn't be farther from the truth: She has magical blood coursing through her vains. Her mother can't explain how it happened, because her mind recedes everyday, just a little bit. Despite that, her mom is the only person who knows about what she can do. But the whole town knows about the tragic past that Geneva is trying to make right. In school she has no friends to talk of. Enter three new kids: Mena, Justin, and Lander. There is always a weird feeling whenever they are around. Geneva gets along fine with Mena and Justin, but Lander is a completely different story. He hates her, loathes her, glares at her as if she's trash. The town's anniversary is coming and Geneva can feel something casting a shadow over everything. But what do Mena, Justin, and brooding Lander have to do with the strange feeling?

"What the hell?! Kennedy!" I watch as Ryder turns around furiously and strides towards me. Oh oh. Maybe I took it too far... "What's wrong with you?! "No." I stated. "They don't exist." His emerald eyes pierced into my soul, they seemed to be dissecting me. He had his arms wrapped around my waist, each passing second his grip was getting tighter and tighter. He started to lean in, closing the gap between us. His eyes never hesitating from my lips. [COMPLETED] My grandmother is a witch. My mother is a witch. My sisters are witches. Even my daddy is a warlock when he's not moonlighting as a rat (a consequence of the aforementioned grandmother's temper). So you would think I would be a witch too, right? Nope.
