This a short story based on two characters I am developing a short novel of. Eris and Astrea are two girls very different but yet bound by friendship.

Discovery:

I recently helped my brothers friend with his English assignment and came across the Declaration of Independence, also I had recently read an article about people blaming minorities for the Corona Virus outbreak. This led me to the character of Astrea, a girls so kind hearted and pure and Eris a character who is ignorant and small minded. I explored the story from both point of views, initially writing a monologue from both perspectives, but decided upon a third person narrative using Astrea as the protagonist. I did try and work with the questionnaire but ended up writing too much, thus decided to focus on the most important aspects, that are relevant for this piece. I feel like I was able to explore both characters and feel like Astrea is the character driving this piece. I was surprised how the characters actions and how she perceives her environment reveal so much about her.

I hope you enjoy reading it and I look forward to your feedback.
