Nancy's kidneys are failing her after 20 years of battling chronic kidney disease and she calls her brother, Jim, to let him know. Michelle overhears the conversation and tells Jim to reassure Nancy that they would do whatever they needed to do to help her. To Michelle that meant maybe Jim would have to donate one of his kidneys to his sister. But how could Michelle convince a hypochondriac, who lost two siblings already and feared the day a disease or surgery-gone-wrong would take his life too soon as well, to step up to the plate and put his life on the line with a major surgery? Ultimately, everything would fall on Michelle's shoulders, maybe even more so than she ever intended when she offered their help.
