Of Sacred Bloodlines

A bloodline so sacred.
The werewolves cherished their sacred blood.
It signified everything to them.
Strength.
Love.
Power.
Life.
When they are asked to share that power with an outsider every century they almost refused, but to prevent their impending extinction they allowed it.
Thus signing a binding agreement with the witches but even with this, it was their right to take what was rightfully theirs.
So a society of werewolves waited every century and killed the "Puer Latro" or "Thieving Child" as the called it.
The witches saw that they had been tricked as they signed an agreement to allow a child possess such power but they did not sign for the child's protection from the wolves.
The wolves thought they had won, but the witches had one last trick up their sleeve....
