You were supposed to live a decent life as an average young adult, beginning your Junior year at the best university in your city: Kamii University, paired with good grades and a supportive best friend no one could ask for. 

But no one lives a good life, especially ghouls. You are no exception. 
Well, you are very different compared to other ghouls.
You have an unimaginable hunger for human flesh as you age (more than average), live with abusive human parents, and are hunted by a Ghoul Hunting Organisation called the CCG (Commission of Countering Ghouls).

The CCG has been after you for years, making you their top priority to kill. 

Will there be a chance for your life to turn around when monsters appear in the city? Can you stop your hunger from growing to the level of the ghoul of myth: the cannibal kakuja?
