Innerworkings (working title)

Penelope Worther's mother is gone. The only thing she left for her daughter : a vague note with an eerie reminder of "Remember to wind the grandfather clock in the hall every night" Why is this so important? What would happen if she didn't? She soon discovers as one mistake plunges her into a dangerous world she never knew existed. 'The innerworld':where creatures seem to walk out of the pages of her mother's mythological studies.Now she must find her way where the shadows always shift and not a soul dares to venture out after dark.
