(A sequel to the game LoZ Twilight Princess)

Link's adventure is over. His story is finished. He did all the hero is supposed to do: protect the realms, save his friends, rescue the princess... Yet he lost his companion, his friend... In the end, the Twili of his dreams decided to leave his world behind forever. Link's done with villains and heroes. He has returned to his simple life. But evil never rests, and nor does the heart.

Time marches on. A year has passed since they parted ways in the blink of an eye, for some. For Link it feels like an eternity. A lot of things can change in an eternity. Unspeakable evils can grow great in power in an eternity. Love could grow weaker just as easily as it could grow stronger. Masterful plans for revenge can be made, hope can rise and fall, death will come for the living, and chaos will rule. Be ready Link. Your chances of survival dwindle with every passing eternity.

May the Golden Goddesses have mercy on his soul...

Amnesia was a funny thing. It strips you of all memories, both good and bad. But what it didn't take away from Link was his caring heart. He wasn't a man who had time to deal with or worry about things like memories anyway. All he cared about was doing what was right. But just because Link had no memories, or any interest to reclaim them, didn't mean they wouldn't return to haunt him. Ever since Link woke up, strange things have been happening around the land. Horrific creatures, not quite monster and not quite human, begin appearing at night to terrorize the denizens of Hyrule. Link, not one to simply let such evils do as they please, decides to investigate into the matter as he travels across the land to find a way to destroy these creatures. It should've been just another job for him, just a problem the people needed solved, just another errand for the incarnation of Hylia's hero. But as he investigates, he is haunted by his past. Link's mind cannot remember what happened. But his heart did. He still feels what he lost, what he failed to protect, even after one hundred years. That's what draws something toward Link, the very same evil that created the creatures he faces. It follows and watches him from the shadows, taunting him, waiting for him to remember the past he's forgotten, waiting for the pain to resurface, waiting for the time he can no longer carry the weight of it all. As he journeys on his quest to defeat Ganon and save Princess Zelda, Link must learn to contend with another ancient evil that taints the land, all while facing the ghosts of his forgotten past. But how long can a disgraced hero last in the face of his failures? Cover art designed by @DaybreakVision on Twitter. Some themes may be upsetting to some readers. Viewer discretion advised. ""Everyone knows the tale of the Princess of Goddess Blood and the Hero of Legendary Spirit. How they are reborn every generation to fight the forces of Darkness that endlessly threatens the land. But what if there was a generation where things were different...?"" 30 years have passed since the Great Calamity had vanished from the land of Hyrule, and the kingdom had grown back to its former glory. The princess has made her triumphant return and was united with her knight in marriage. Prince Link, their only son, is the heir of Hyrule's throne. (Y/n), a young farm girl, is aiming to be the first female knight Hyrule had ever seen. She is the closest thing Link has ever had to a friend. All the knight captains believe she isn't strong enough, a "foolish young girl with a death wish". But she didn't back down, and eventually became one of the best, even ranking to top knighthood. But during the officiating knighthood ceremony, a premature reincarnation of darkness, Ganadaur, kidnaps the prince to wed him during the fabled Blood Moon. So now it is up to (Y/n) to save her friend before he is married to the latest incarnation of power. With the help of some friends along the way, she'll need to gather the power necessary to save her prince, as well as learn her destiny. Time has passed. Hyrule is getting rebuilt. Zelda on the other hand is not quite sure what to do. She is no longer a princess, She's a queen with responsibilities. A dark force is looming. Old friends are getting rediscovered but that boy. That man. Link. There's an unfinished story with him. This is my take on the universe. There will be new characters that aren't canon. There will be a few POV swaps but let's see if I can make this a cohesive story.
