Enola Blackhorse is angry. She doesn't know where she fits in this world, and so she lashes out at those around her, trying to make someone feel as bad as she does. Enola's dad fled his home on the Navajo Reservation at just 19 - just a year older than Enola is now. He made a life for himself - got married and started a family - and his past is a blank slate that he never mentions - an entire lifetime that no longer exists. After getting arrested and nearly destroying her relationship with her parents, Enola is sent home - back to the reservation she's never seen, to live with a family she has never met, to find answers to all of the questions she has. The answers might be more than she can handle - but if the questions go unanswered, it might destroy us all.

It's been three years since the war between humans and Unknowns began and things are starting to get serious. Although it took a while for humans to catch up, they now have the technology to do serious damage and they're using it to the fullest extent. You'd have to be crazy to risk exposing yourself as an Unknown, but Celeste has never been one to follow the norm. Residing in the Arizona desert with a pack of wild wolves, Celeste doesn't even know what the word 'Unknown' really means until she's thrust into the middle of the action. Reluctant to take part in the world around her, Celeste soon realizes that she doesn't have much of a choice in the matter. That doesn't stop her from keeping a safe return to the wild at the top of her priorities. She couldn't care less about the war, especially when it feels like all people want is to use her for her abilities. The Unknowns had done their best to keep their gifts a secret, but one fateful event left them all exposed. Everyone expected a war, but no one counted on the many other downfalls that exposure would bring... ATTENTION: This is Book #2 in this series.
