Tris never met any of her friends until she chose to go to the dauntless high school. The only person she kinda knew was Tobias eaton. Tris is just a normal abnegation 16 year old. She is taught to not look to long in the mirror, selfless actions and attaining the peace through elimination of selflessness, but all that is about to change.

Tris' memory is spared due to her divergence but no one knows. She will have to escape the city with the ones she loves in order to create a lasting future for her and her child.
