“Hi Sam. Would you like to go on a quest with me?” I rehearsed different versions of this in my head. “Would you like to take a fun trip?” “That’s too dumb.” I thought to myself. “Would you like to meet Abe?” “Why would she want to meet Abe? The only thing I really know about him is that he’s tall and. Come to think of it, that’s all I really know about him.” My mind and I were in a back and forth. Finally, I just scribbled the following words on my palm: “Hi Sam. Will you come with me on a quest? It will be really fun. I would really be happy if you came along.” I was nervous. I don’t know why. Maybe I was worried she would say no. With fists clenched I walked up to her front door. I took a deep breath and rang her door bell. (c) David Bonifacio http://dbonifacio.com/

Cover by: @Enny101 Christian DeLuca is a very successful businessman with little regard for anyone he doesn't consider family, he's found work and life easier this way. What happens when he finds himself consumed by one thing, or rather one person, Alesha Moore. His plans are to get her, keep her and never let her find out about his title as a kingpin in the Italian mafia. *** "Alesha, where do you think you're going?" he asked in a deep and unsettling tone. "I just saw you commit mass murder Christian. I can't be a part of this world, your world. I'm not built for this life, if this is who you are then.." I let out a humorless chuckle. "I couldn't stomach today let alone the rest of my life. I need to leave, and you need to let me." My voice was so low, even breaking toward the end. Each word provoked tears to spill from my eyes and even more came rushing when I could see how what I said must've felt like daggers to his chest. "You can either stay and talk to me or calm down outside and we'll talk when you're ready, but you are NOT leaving me." His once sexy, endearing voice turned cold and sent frightening shivers throughout my body and I don't know who was staring back at me, but I could no longer see my Christian, not the man I love. *** This book contains mature language AND images, if you find that unsettling, I promise this is not the book for you 😬
