Iris has a tough life. She lives in a small town and is considered different. In a country in which all people have blonde or brown hair, tanned skin and hazel, brown or green eyes. Iris is different.
Being the only girl in the entire country with red hair, blue eyes and pale skin, she is bullied and teased by her classmates. But she knows that she always have her friends.
When a new girl by the name of Tanika Macmillin arrives at school Iris's world is turned upside down. Tanika is just like Iris.
On her 16th birthday Iris finds out that she and Tanika are genetically engineered human beings. Dr Graden being their creator.
Together they travel to find this man and discover who they are and why they are here.
