***Formerly titled "The Privilege"***

In a distant galaxy, an advanced and powerful alien race known as the Azuli face a dire crisis: a biological war has left all their women dead or infertile, threatening their species with extinction. In a desperate bid for survival, they turn to the genetically similar humans of Earth.

After making a covert treaty with the United Nations, the Azuli offer their advanced technology in exchange for Earth's women. Unbeknownst to the world, a secret selection process begins and numerous women are abducted and transported to the alien planet. Among them is investigative journalist, Elizabeth Crane. Just as she's about to uncover the truth of the disappearances, she is taken by Zy'ra Xantheris, an Azuli spy sent to stalk her and abduct her.

Zy'ra is assigned as her escort to help her navigate the aliens' society and ensure her she is matched with one of their best warriors to bear children. However, the more time they spend together, the more attached she becomes to her human and her feelings threaten to break the surface.

Commander Rhys Vorian, a fierce and loyal warrior, is one of the Azuli males who volunteers to be matched to one of the human females. He ends up being paired with Elizabeth and vows to protect her with his life. He quickly begins to fall for her, but senses her hesitation. When he uncovers a secret plot that may put her in danger, he wonders if she would be safer back on Earth.

Together the three must navigate their alien love triangle, uncover hidden agendas, and make unexpected choices amidst political intrigue and cultural clashes. Elizabeth must decide which path she will take: trust Rhys and embrace a future she never imagined or escape and return to Earth and expose the truth for all to see. In a race against time, will love blossom in the stars or will the shadow of a war and mistrust doom them all?

In a galaxy far from Earth, where stars sparkle like jewels in the sky and vast alien worlds pulse with life, two species stand on the brink of conflict. The Z'hara, majestic winged beings who thrive among the skies of a lush, vibrant world, and the Thalirians, aquatic creatures of unmatched grace who live beneath the surface of distant oceans, have always lived in parallel, separated by the vastness of space and their very different environments. But the delicate peace between them is now threatened by an emerging danger-an unknown cosmic force has begun to tear the fabric of their worlds apart, endangering both their people and the natural resources they rely on to survive. When a cataclysmic event forces the two species to confront the reality of their impending destruction, two individuals from opposite sides of the galaxy are thrown together. Ciela, a brave Z'hara warrior whose wings carry her high above the clouds, is sent to the depths of the ocean on a mission to save her planet's future. Kaelen, a mysterious and gentle Thalarian, is tasked with safeguarding the fragile ecosystems of his world. Though they come from different realms, neither can deny the pull of something greater than their responsibilities-a connection forged by fate and, perhaps, something even older than the stars themselves. As danger looms closer, Ciela and Kaelen's growing bond, despite the overwhelming odds, begins to transcend the boundaries of their species and cultures. But as their feelings deepen, so too does the resistance from their peoples-unwilling to accept such an unprecedented union. In a galaxy torn by ancient prejudices, will love be enough to bridge the divide, or will they be forced to sacrifice everything for the survival of their worlds?

It is a slow burn, but worth it. ~ After a devastating alien invasion leaves Earth in ruins, humanity struggles to survive in isolated zones, clinging to life behind barriers of failing technology. Lena, a skilled engineer with fierce determination, dedicates her life to maintaining what little remains of this protective technology-especially the light posts that keep the Xyvarians at bay. But when a search for medicine pulls her outside the safe zone, she encounters a certain alien. Towering, muscular, and adorned with sharp, curving horns, this alien is a calculated hunter, though his interest in Lena is anything but logical. Drawn to her, he pursues her in a dangerous game of cat and mouse, one that blurs the line between predator and prey. As Lena fights to evade capture, the tension between them ignites into a charged, forbidden attraction that neither can fully understand. He is unlike any alien she's ever faced-Machiavellian, dangerous, unyielding, yet inexplicably captivated by her. Lena, wary and unwilling to surrender, finds herself both repelled and fascinated by the Xyvarian who watches her with a gaze that burns with something far more primal. As she grapples with confusing desires and the disturbing revelation of a breeding program, Lena is forced to question everything-her survival, her humanity, and her heart. ~ (The artwork featured in my cover photo was sourced from Pinterest. Elodie's life changes at the turn of a doorknob when she is forced into joining a secret organization that claims to be protecting the Earth from aliens. But with every step she takes, she finds the organization, or the facility, as they call it, becoming more and more suspicious. When a mysterious death occurs, revealing a well-concealed secret, things quickly go downhill as humanity's future is placed on the shoulders of a single gaggle of teenagers. *** I hear a sigh from the other side of the door, "Miss. Chaucer, you have a wonderful opportunity here, are you going to take it or not?" Now, I am seriously confused, "Opportunity?" She takes advantage of my befuddled state and shoves the door open. Shit. The corners of her mouth pull up, and it's so unnatural, it takes me a moment to realize she's smiling. Major plastic surgery? Probably. Click. Did she just lock the door? She locked the door! I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. So, call me stupid, but I sit down. "I am from a space organization that protects civilians from . . . outside threats." *** Beautiful cover made by @mahana258!
