I don't know if I was lucky, brave, or stupid maybe a combination of all three but I wasn't going to stay here. This place where I was afraid to even too loud in the rare instance I was noticed. I couldn't do it, at least...not anymore.

I was drowning. I knew that. I also knew that the hands around my throat, pushing me deeper into the river water was the cause. What I didn't know was who was drowning me and why. It hurt thinking.
