Laura Donahue isn't your average 20-something straight out of college and living the dream of an unemployed gamer. She's the girl every reader loves to hate, with her dark humor and the kind of facetious honesty that gets you kicked off the cheer squad when you tell someone how their uniform really looks.

Amid the bustle of NYC, with one responsible roommate and one not-so-responsible roommate (you know - the one who finds herself in debt to a very temperamental drug dealer?), Laura's life seems to be going along perfectly. Unless you count Sarah's drug-dealer running out of patience, or dear-old-dad cutting off the allowance.

Or that egotistical Smithlol telling her she should give up gaming and start baking cupcakes. Who did he think he was, anyway!? Calling her a stalker because she started a secondary character on a new server to send him a letter one time. She didn't really have a choice after he put her first character on ignore.

And then there's Mason - the enigmatic neighbor who still hasn't proposed even though she's run into him 'randomly' several times. And basically eludes to his friend that she might be a stalker - what gives?

In order to pay off Sarah's debt, and keep the three of them from losing any fingers, Laura finds herself selling the one possession she'd ever cared about - on the black market, no less. But will it be enough to keep them alive? Or will the attempt get everyone killed - including Mason?
