17 Syllables, 3 lines and a wave of emotions.
Haikus are Japanese poetry and like most japanese poetry, haiku does not focus on the rhyme but rather on the syllables. This style, in particular, uses 5-7-5 syllable format.
As a person who is most comfortable in free verse, I am now venturing on to delivering ideas in a short and structured style.
Even if we fail
even if we keep losing
may we persevere
Themes vary from self love, self appreciation to nature, it would really mean a lot if you could give it a shot :))

Dreamweaver (2017-2021)
"Dreamweaver: First Poetry Collection" (2017-2021): Book 1 among my poetry collections. If you read my poetry collections from oldest to newest, you'll get to see the evolution and changes my style undergoes over time. However, there is no required reading order. Poetry is meant to be enjoyed, read how and what you wish. 😌 Formerly titled "A Dreamweaver's Poetry", this is my first and oldest poetry collection. It contains almost all of the poems I wrote between the years of 2017 and 2021. There is no central theme, I simply wrote what would come up. Whether Haiku, rhyming, non-rhyming, about love, pain, or life, they're all here, and they're all raw. Any editing I have done of the actual poems has been minimal, mostly consisting of reformatting, fixing commas, periods, etc. None of the actual content. We all know the classic story of a girl who lost her glass slipper running away from her dreams, and racing back to her sad reality of being a peasant maid for her own step-mother and step-sisters, the only family she has left. Yes, this is a story based on none other than the character of Cinderella. However...this rendition of telling the tale is quite different. This quick-read is all written in the form of haikus; a form of poetry that is written in a 5/7/5 syllable count. In this story, you learn about the lives these characters really lived behind the scenes of the happily ever after that we all know to be. You'll discover rich amounts of character development from minor characters and learn major mic-drops about the major characters. I hope you enjoy reading and visualizing the lives of various characters and what they may have been thinking throughout this story!
