With the excitement of her sister's trial quickly behind her, Erica Zayara lives a quiet life as a Divination professor at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry with her niece Liliana. Everything spirals out of control as Hogsmeade is attacked. Erica tries to make sense of all of the insanity that ensues but is whisked away in events far beyond her control when she if given a powerful pendant and meets Malcolm Grey, a mysterious Professor with a knack for trouble. Will Erica survive this year of Hogwarts, or will she drown in the darkness that seems to begin to swallow her life up?
