After finding her father, Padme Skywalker trained with Rey on Ahch-To. But when she felt a disturbance in the force, she was forced to make the decision between staying with her father and friend to finish her training, or to venture out into the outer rim and face uncertainty.

With her pain and loss buried so deep inside that even her father can't find it, Padme was teetering on the edge of darkness. Her cousin's constant discussions with Rey weren't helping, as she could feel the darkness take grasp of her even more every time. What happened when the closest people to her left? What happened when all she had was just out of reach?

My earliest memory is pain. Pain of losing a mother, pain of losing the love of a father, pain from the isolation that happened after the incident. I am reminded by others that what happened on that day was an accident and it wasn't my fault, but deep down I know what truly happened and so does my father and brothers.
