"Regina?" There was a short pause where only her frantic breathing could be heard from the phone. "Regina, someone is following me, and he's got a cleaver," she whispered, her voice hoarse. "HE'S COMING FOR ME!" Her breathing became even faster, and I felt my heart beating out of my chest.
"HELP! HEL--" her voice sounded muffled as she struggled to cry for help.
Seconds later, I heard her scream just once before the silence.
