All throughout his time at Hogwarts Harry constantly received letters containing thinly veiled threats from his uncle. He never truly let hope blossom, knowing his fate when he returned home. But it never bothered him that much. It was normal to eat barely anything. He had to be thin to be pretty! It was normal to do all the house work. He needed to earn his keep and their love. It was normal to sleep on a bedroll in a cupboard. His bad behaviour meant he needed to be punished. So when he began dating, why would it be any different? It's only when one night goes too far, leading to a stay at St. Mungos, that someone comes forward save Harry. The person who had sworn to protect him since that fateful Halloween night. Severus had seen in The Daily Prophet that Harry was in the hospital. Honestly that newspaper had no compassion for the war hero'a privacy. Nevertheless, in this instance he was thankful for the nosy reporter. While it wasn't that Harry was in St Mungos that grabbed his attention, it was some of the details surrounding the circumstances of his hospitalisation that were concerning. The boy hadn't been on an auror mission or even training. Even so, it was hardly ever this bad from what he could recall of previous articles and local gossip. Neither had he been attacked somewhere. So what had happened to him? Severus needed to find out. He owed the boy a life debt (from Nagini) and an oath for his mother.

The war is over. Everyone is back to life as it used to be, but not everyone. Draco Malfoy cannot handle the guilt he feels any longer. A voice tells him every single night that he is a traitor, that be does not deserve any kind of love after what he did. He lives like a zombie, until his beloved mother cannot handle it any longer and sends him to a clinic to get the help he so desperately needs. But recovery is not the only thing he finds in the clinic. Harry Potter might be the real hero who saved everyone from Lord Voldemort, but he certainly does not feel that way. He cannot sleep but when he does the nightmares hunt him. The pain he feels and the fears he has almost kill the boy who lived. Until one day his girlfriend cannot handle it any longer and sends him to a clinic to get the help he so desperately needs. But recovery is not the only thing he finds in the clinic. *** I feel like I should give some warnings. This book contains a few things that I should probably warn you for (in the first chapter you can find more warnings) : - It is obviously a boyxboy story so if you do not feel comfortable reading a story with a homosexual theme please do not read the story. - It will contain mental illnesses and I do not want you to read another word of this book if you know your sensitive for this kind of things. Your mental health is way too important to take any risks! - And last of all, the story will probably contain a lot of grammar mistakes. You see, English is not my first language and this is actually my first English written story so please do not hate me if I make any mistakes. I want to emphasize that I do not support the fact that some people are romanticizing mental ilnesses out there. This story does contain mental health issues but it is about showing you that you will always be able to find love and support, no matter what. 2nd place - TheCosmicAwards 2019/2020
