" Don't call me that" he snarled, tears leaking out of my eyes, all I could hear is my heart smashing against my chest, " Why! Cause it makes you feel human. Because it makes you feel weak" I screamed, angry tears chasing each other down my cheeks, " Well, new flash: You are human! You're allowed to cry, to yell, to fucking laugh, Easton! You aren't a robot!" I shoved his body away from mine, harshly wiping the tears from my face, " I can't be near you anymore. You like me, then you hate me, pick a side, Easton cause I'm tired of it" I whispered, turning around and walked down the empty hallway.

"Ava, you have to be quiet! They'll hear you-" Tears started to spill from my eyes, blending in with the rain that dripped down my face. I shouldn't have come here. After everything that happened, I couldn't shake the feeling that something was off with Nova. I told myself I needed to check on her and make sure she was okay. I pushed open her door, and the sight of her almost stopped my heart. She was sitting on the floor, her back against the bed, eyes unfocused, her hand shaking as she brought another pill to her lips. My pulse quickened. "Nova?" My voice cracked, louder than I intended. She didn't respond at first, just continued, almost robotic, taking more.
