Your room is lit by a single monitor, it's blue light seeping into the shadows, the still quiet broken by soft humming of a pc whirring away in the corner, and the occasional click, tap, click of a keyboard and mouse. It's late, but you decide to load up your favourite game, Portal 2, despite having played it many, many times before. You've always loved this game.. but this time, something feels off.

Sequel to "Start A New Again •Sans X Reader•" -- Pain. Pain was all you felt right now. It was coursing through your body, every waking second was that feeling you get after being harmed physically, or even emotionally. Pain. That's the feeling. You can't call for help, or shout because of your pain-filled body. It left you mute. What had happened before? You tried to remember. But all you could remember were blurry images of the past. Voices speaking intelligible words. Colors of black, blue, white and teal flashing through your mind. You could only remember one thing clearly, and that was pain. Hell, you didn't even remember your own name. You opened your bloodshot eyes to a bright light. A few pillars here and there, stalagmites hanging dangerously from the endless 'ceiling' above. This place is so familiar, you dont know why. It sends a chill down your spine as you think about what comes next. You sit up. You feel the soft embrace of the buttercups beneath your cold hands. It was strange, though. You had a thick, fluffy sweater on with matching fluffy PJ's but you were still freezing cold. You decided to explore. There was a hallway in the distance. You walked towards it, a door is seen clearer at the end of the hallway. You walk faster. You reach the 10-foot tall doorway. All you see inside is darkness, but you go in anyway. -- Alright, that's the first of my sequel! I changed my writing style a bit, more detailing and stuff. The person in your head narrating your every move? It's none other than Chara, but she aint evil here. I saw Jugement Boy's video. It opened my eyes. Before you read this though, you SHOULD read the first one, "Start A New Again" or you'll (geeeeeeettt dunked on) be pretty confused on who are some of my OCs here. Subject 3281; Chell's Story
Test. That was what she did, and Subject 3281 did it well. She was the model subject, fit, strong, on time, and most of all... obedient. That's how she was, until one fateful day, when the higher-ups at Aperture Science figured that they could get more out of their testing if two subjects were present, and so launched the "Aperture Science Co-operative Testing Initiative", pairing Subject 3281 with another Test subject. A boy. A boy who forced Subject 3281 to re-think her complacency, to yearn for freedom as they all did. To begin thinking like the girl she had been; instead of the person she had become. ~----------------------------------~ So, I was writing a short story one day, and realized that--with a bit of tweaking--this could turn into a Portal 2 fan-fic! While I do believe that Blue Sky is the BEST fan-fic for Portal 2 out there, and deserves to be canon, I think that this is still a relatively believable Chell backstory. (This is set after Cave Johnson's death, and before Caroline/GLaDOS killed everyone but the test subjects with neurotoxin, and placed Chell in stasis.) Enjoy! This is not a Chelley fan-fic, and doesn't include Wheatley, as this is set prior to the timeline of the first game. I don't own Portal, Portal 2, or the characters in the game; but this story is my own, from my imagination. I also don't own the amazing cover art, and I don't know who does... same goes for the chapter art, they're all either off of Google or Pinterest! 😂 P.S. the first chapter sort of "sets the scene" for the rest of the book, so bear with me!Concluida
