Kaelyna is a Dragonblood, an individual gifted by the Moon Goddess Lunaera with the ability to shapeshift into a dragon.
On her 21st birthday, she undergoes her first transition into a dragon. Unfortunately, things go awry, with Kaelyna transforming into a never-before-seen Black Dragon. With her strange new abilities and form, Kaelyna and her brother Taryn are chased from their home. They must leave behind their parents and venture out to find safety within their grandfather's clan, the Inferni.
With their journey, they undergo trials and tribulations, including missing Dragonbloods suspiciously all around 21 years of age. As they continue on the path laid before them will Kaelyna be able to protect those she loves, save those who have gone missing, and figure out the cause of these disappearances? Only time will tell.
Unfortunately for her, our protagonist tends to get in her own way, with her stubbornness.
