Craig Engels is a prospective documentary filmmaker down on his luck. After looking for quick gigs anywhere he could make a buck, he strikes gold with a Psychology student called Dick Thomson, looking for someone to record psychiatric interviews. After gleaning some more details, he finds that the job will take him miles and miles into Appalachian foothill, to a long-abandoned Insane Asylum. There, Dick Thomson's subject of interest Anise Courtois, lives vicariously through an illusion that the place is still intact, and bustling. Hooked on an opportunity, Craig joins the Student in order to privately record footage for his break-through feature. However, during their sojourn at the Asylum, the Patient's insane delusions appear to be steadily manifesting around Craig and he begins to feel awfully at home interred in the walls of the madhouse.

LONG story Asylum au :))) Y/n traded bread for serial killers. One day he's baking croissants, the next he's a psychiatrist at an asylum full of murderers with flair. He's supposed to be the professional here, but between homicidal maniacs, psychological chess matches, and one patient who swears therapy is "a government conspiracy," Y/n's barely holding it together. Not to mention his own sketchy past, which he's hiding behind a nonchalant attitude, caffeine, and a clipboard he doesn't actually use. In a place ruled by madness, the greatest threat may not be the killers...but the darkness inside the man trying to cure them. Who's really getting rehabilitated here? Your guess is as good as his. Buckle up camental health has never been this unhinged 😐
