A mush of lesbian and the story of Persephone.
The goddess of the Underworld, Hailez, was enjoying a night off from her boring job of regulating the dead when she noticed a short girl picking flowers. She talked with her and fell in love. Being the reckless, in-the-moment person that she was, she kidnapped her new friend, Onyx. Over time Onyx learned to love Hailez and the Underworld. But her mother, Syringa, was not so keen on leaving her daughter with the goddess of death, and she convinced Lucas, the quiet deity of the sea and a favorite of the Overseer of Gods, to get the ruler involved in the kidnapping. Etcetera etcetera.
Apologies for the awful description, I hope the book is a bit better.

The Tale of Hades & Persephone
This is a rewrite of my previous fan fiction "Tales of Hades and Persephone" as well as some inspiration from the original myth (and perhaps other retellings I enjoy). Hades has been alone for far too long. One day he pays a visit to Zeus and requests to marry Persephone. The King of the Gods agrees and even recommends Hades kidnap Persephone, since it's unlikely Demeter will agree to the marriage. Persephone is a young Goddess of Earth curious about the world of the mortals. She's always helping her mother Demeter, but one day while watching the mortals she wanders off only to fun into a handsome stranger. After a brief conversation, Persephone finds herself swept away to the Underworld. Will Hades manage to get Persephone to fall in love with him? Death is what comes to people like a thief in the night, snatching them with no intentions of bringing them back. She hasn't seen any other person besides her homeschool teacher since she was a little girl after a mysterious incident happened at school one day that her mother refuses to talk to her about. She keeps her locked away on a farm and only lets her go out occasionally. It isn't until her cat dies and after picking him up, becomes alive again when she realizes why her mother has locked her away for all these years. She discovers she has the gift of healing. When she confronts her mother about it, her mother reveals to her that they are not human but in fact, Goddesses trapped inside human vessels to protect Kore from the Gods who want to marry her. But things only get worse when one day, as Kore is picking flowers in the meadow, there is an earthquake and she is taken up by this earthquake and falls into the arms of none other than Hades.
