"Come with us!" The announcement came from two burly men in royal gray tunics, with swords on their hips, and the emblem of Triena on their chest. They grabbed her by the arm and forcefully guided her into the palace yard.

"You know what you did." Even though their tone conveyed certainty, she had no earthly idea what particular incident they could be referring to. There were many to choose from. She was not of the mind to question and end up volunteering information they did not have already.

"You're making a mistake. Please tell me where it is and I'll leave you alone. You want to be left alone, right? Wouldn't you rather tell me where it is other than me reporting you to the guards and getting you executed? It would be much easier on you." She rambled, her soft voice leaking with desperation once again. And as she spoke, I couldn't help but feel more shocked. Was she begging me? Seriously? This was our queen? Isn't she supposed to be in charge here, why on earth is she pleading to me? And what's with the sweet tone? "I don't want to hurt you," she said with actual concern etched on her face. "But I will if I have to; I will if you don't say anything in five seconds." "Do it then," I challenged, "Or are you too scared to touch me?" ・・・ When Valoria becomes the queen of Elarys, she's left with a mountain of responsibilities. Her father kept behind loads of work and secrets she did not know of before he passed. She was oblivious to everything-- the kingdom, the people, everything. And while Valoria attempted to solve the many issues, Sarayah stayed hidden in the shadows. She stole for a living-- trying to survive in that cruel world. She didn't believe in depending on others or having faith in that wretched place. She stayed alive on her own and made the best of her circumstances. Problems build, leaving Sarayah and Valoria to collide. On their journey, they will have to work together and gain each other's trust. Feelings get in the way and what will happen if that becomes their undoing?

Reverse Handmaiden's tale set in a fantasy medieval land. *** Fynn of Teleni is an orphan born and raised within the Great Kingdom of Teleni. The particularity of his home is its rare breed of virgin male soldiers. Currently stationed in the same barrack for nearly five years, Fynn is determined to climb in grade and become commander. Seileia is from the Eleenora's wood, an uncharted forest and the last unconquered territory by the Kingdom of Teleni. Descendant from a race of powerful witches and dragon riders, Seileia fears being the next one like her many sisters who have gone missing, taken by the Kingdom of Teleni. With no proof to attest to her suspicions, Seileia storms into Fynn's barrack on her dragon to rescue them all. The plan should have worked as she comes disguised as one of Teleni's soldiers; however, Fynn catches her, and the two of them fight with Fynn exposing her naked body to everyone and calling her "a demon." To fall in love with a demon is the last of their wishes, and yet, outnumbered, the Kingdom of Teleni captured Seileia and leaves her under Fynn's sole guardianship. This is a clumsy fantasy fairytale with an ending that you will never expect. *** ONC 25' Prompt 2: To be in love with a demon was the last thing on your wishlist. Prompt 61: The silence in the room is deafening, as though it has a life of its own. It's time to rewrite the fairy tale, but this time, the ending will be yours, and it won't be happy. *** CW: Depictions and mentions of violence with a bit of foul language but mostly a war of the minds over the ones of the bodies. Sensible chapters will be marked with *** at the end of their titles.
