After defeating the Dark Elves and their leader, Malekith, Adaline Nordin stayed on Earth, deciding to reside with Jane for a few days before returning to Asgard, grabbing her things, and going to Stark Tower with Thor. 

Loki's death had hit her especially hard, and she wasn't sure who she or what she was supposed to do anymore; but when the Avengers receive a mission alert about Hydra and Loki's scepter she is thrown into the whirlwind of battle once again.
