In this kingdom, the poor and rich are treated very different.

The poor were forced to take the neko transformation pills and if they had kids the kids will be born a neko. The babies that are born are taken away from the parents and are sold into slavery.

Those who are rich can buy as many pets as they want and it's up to them if they want to sell their children.

This has been happening for centuries until one day a large group of nekos escaped this slavery. They had kids but were one day found, all the parents were executed while the children who didn't escape were sold to a wealthy couple who took them under their wings and gave them and antidote to the neko pills that were used a long time ago to see if they will work.
