When Jay wakes up to find himself in a world with animal people, he's quickly tracked down and hunted by those in power. But the Resistance saves him. As it turns out, mankind and the Kemonomimi had lived in harmony for many years, but when Lord Zachias rose to power, that all changed. Humans had the potential to become powerful mages, mages that rivaled even the most powerful Kemonomimi mages, and Lord Zachias saw them as a threat to his new empire, and had them wiped out. Jay was the only hope the Resistance had. If he could hone his skills and learn magic, he could defeat Lord Zachias and cause the empire to collapse. Will Jay be able to get there, or will Zachias find and kill him before he can?
