Two years after the fight that defeated the feared Shredder, the brothers along with April, Karai and Casey are living their lives and keeping the city safe. Everyone has grown up and grown closer together.
Enter Angel Winfer, a quiet, jumpy new girl at Roosevelt High School that catches the human trio's attention. Inviting her to join their group to protect her from the prying eyes of the jocks, they form an unlikely bond.
Angel however, coming from a former life of abuse at the hands of her godfather, has a hard time opening up for a while. Never trust anyone, she has learned.
But...what's the harm? They seem very nice!
As her path becomes intertwined with the trio, she begins to learn more about them and their friends from "another school"
What awaits her is adventure, friends, love, and a doorway into her past.
