Not even their technology can help them this time. Follow Arlein Moore as she navigates her new life in this new, unnatural, world. ---- "MINE" Came a rumbling voice across the crowded street. "shit" The young girl makes eye contact with the stranger across the street before taking off into the dark forest behind her. She runs as fast as she can, dropping her previously important cargo in her desperation to get the river. She know she can't out run him for long, but she has to get her family's scent off her. She knows that he could hunt down her family because she dared to love another. She'd seen the horrors of those found to be like her, in love with another. She knew she wouldn't be able to live with herself if the monster chasing her hurt her family. The river comes into view when a bone curling growl sounds throughout the forest, shaking the trees. A few more seconds she thinks to herself, almost there. At the last step she jumps, flinging herself into the water. Frantically she scrapes at her skin to get their scents off, but knowing she can't be caught de-scenting she starting swimming down stream. Better to be caught running than them thinking you have something to hide.
The Chase
Evie is haunted by her past, and so tangled up with her best friend and room mate she isn't even sure she remembers how to be an independent person anymore. This Roadtrip was going to be their last big hurrah as room mates. One last wild long party together before finally trying to grow up. On one of the last nights of their road trip, Evie runs into someone who is more than willing to follow her anywhere, someone who knows he was made to love her. He has no idea what Rosa has in store from him, and she has no idea what Garin'thar is willing to do to keep her.
The Warmth of the Sun
Born in a mud hut with no parents and BigWing leading his family as all MudWings do. But something wasn't normal with these MudWings. They could do things that MudWings shouldn't and no one could explain it. Or maybe they didn't care that these dragonets seemed stronger in daylight, or that their breath at times seemed toxic. They would find their own answers in this big world.
