'The largest egg in mountain high, will give to you the wings of sky.'

We all know how the SkyWing egg was lost right?

Well, in this world, what if the SkyWing egg didn't shatter? What if the dragonet inside it actually survived? What if the SkyWing was hidden in a deep pit with only a sick IceWing guardian to take care of?

After ten years, when the war of the SandWing Succession has finally come to a glorious ending and the Eye of Onyx has crowned Thorn as their new SandWing queen, Soaren, the surviving SkyWing, has been having trouble living in the pit for ten years all his life. He wanted to see the world. He wanted the sun to finally touch his scales. He wanted to spread his wings freely. His very, very large wings.

When his IceWing guardian was about to die of SandWing venom, Soaren was determined to save him by travelling to the Rainforest, where he heard he could retrieve the cure for the venom. It would have been easier than going to the Sand Kingdom.

But as Soaren flies through his journey, he meets a peculiar dragon as he passes the Sea Kingdom and some interesting dragons while he stays in the Rainforest.

However, a strange occurrence happened at Jade Mountain.

He and a few friends try to solve the mystery, gathering up all the clues while the SkyWing wonders if he should go back to his guardian.

Soaren had hid his true identity as the 'lost' SkyWing, but he needs to eventually open up. With the NightWings in the Rainforest, more mind readers will be born and they'll find out who he is.

But worst of all, he'll have to face something far more terrible than anyone could have imagined...

Disclaimer: I do not own any of these characters from the best book series in the world, they are the characters of the great and magnificent Tui T. Sutherland. The only characters I own are my OCs.

P.S I give full credit to my awesome fanfiction writer friend for coming up with this fanfiction and credit to Book-dragon-Wof who helped with ideas.

Belladonna, the heir to the Rainwing throne and the daughter of Queen Glory and King Deathbringer thought that her only problems were trying to conceal her mind-reading abilities and secure a peaceful future for the tribes in the Rain Kingdom. While the two groups, Gale and Storm travel the continent to find each other, (with the help of Tempest and Belladonna,) they begin to catch glimpses of a changing Pyrriah and start wondering what is really happening in the alleys and backstreets of the world. The answer is in the gatherings of dragons who yearn for a change in power and are willing to sacrifice everything to destroy the current Pyrriah and build a new empire from the ashes. Soon a prophecy surfaces, speaking of six misfit dragonets as the ones to save the fate of Pyrriah again... The dragonets of the prophecy, Belladonna, who will have to overcome her fears and face an oncoming war, Storm an orphan Sea/Sky hybrid in the Skywing army, Desert a runaway Ice/Sand orphan who is a wanted fugitive on the run from the Icewing army, Tempest a Seawing who lives in the Deep Palace with her parents Tsunami and Riptide, Blizzard a sarcastic Icewing with a tortured past and Gale, who is a sweet and intelligent Sea/Skywing. These dragonets are destined to stop the secret rebel plots that are spreading like wildfire through Pyrriah. But there are challenges in the distance, including past villains being risen from the dead and a mixture of heartbreak, betrayal, fatalities, and imprisonment. There is no time to wait, revolution is brewing, and another war is approaching fast on the horizon. Will these new 'dragonets of destiny' be able to stop the oncoming flood of vengeance and save all of Pyrriah? I guess we'll see. !!Violence/fight scenes!! I accept any ideas and Constructive criticism (don't be too harsh please) so come along for the ride. NOTE: Things may seem off within 4h story such as: A confusing timeline, unexplained plot holes, out of character reactions, etc. All I can say is that they're in there on purpose for the most part and will be explained as you read through the story. So if you're confused, don't worry about it, it'll likely be answered later. Also warning that this book contains some swearing every now and then. Thanks to @StormingFire555 for the cover design.

IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Recent events have cancelled this old, old story. However! The synopsis for the rest of the chapters I had planned for the sequel, Cloudborn, are at the end of the second book along with the planned third book I had planned to write. Feel free to enjoy the unfinished, old story as you please. And please remember that the new upcoming revamp is a side project that will not have my full attention, so it will not be guaranteed completion. However, the storyline is the exact same as the original Iceborn. So you needn't worry about being left in the dark! (Book 1 of the Iceborn Series) Years after the Dragonets of Destiny. Generations after the defeat of Darkstalker. Pyrrhia has been at peace for as long as their queens could remember. But the hatching of a special dragon might change the course of Pyrrhia's peaceful reign. A twin IceWing egg, hatching twin Dragonets. One with too much ice, the other with too little. Blizzard the IceWing is Iceborn. After being accused of murdering another of her kind, Blizzard is forced to flee the Ice Kingdom or be killed. While on the run, Blizzard runs into two very peculiar dragons. Two dragons with strange symbols on their bodies. Two dragons from a faraway land. A land where Blizzard could start over. A land called Magisalla. The Wings of Fire series Belongs to Tui T. Sutherland. This is merely a fanfiction. NOTE: This story was created before the announcement of the Lost Continent.

However, the storyline is the exact same as the original Iceborn. So you needn't worry about being left in the dark! (Book 2 of the Iceborn series) The Dark Revolt is defeated. Magisalla was saved from it's close fall, and in turn the Kingdoms of Pyrrhia and the CloudWing Kingdom were saved from being taken over by Permafrost's twisted and demented plans of world domination. Now, all that is left is to rebuild. The first event to bring hope to the CloudWings was the hatching of two royal eggs; the first two to have survived after Princess Supercell and Prince Comet. One of them hatched as a rare-born. One seen every once in a while in the kingdom. Nothing much else is special about Fog the Cloudborn CloudWing . But threats are still looming over the Cloud Kingdom. Criminals roam the kingdom after being set free by the Dark Revolt. One of which is an old enemy of the royal family who plans to return with revenge at the forefront of their mind. And when Fog catches wind of this enemy's plan to return, it's up to him to convince his family to prepare. That is, if he's even up to the task. What happens when the only dragon who can be the hero... isn't interested in the role at all? The Wings of Fire series belongs to Tui T. Sutherland. This is merely a fanfiction based in the world she created. (NOTE: This is Book 2 of this fanfiction series! Jade mountain academy has stood for many years and had grown larger over time. It now had the ability to accept up to 161 dragonets. Thats 23 dragonets from each tribe. Cattail the Mudwing is perfectly happy in her family of 7. So when soldiers unexpectedly show up with orders from the queen to attend Jade Mountain Academy she isn't happy. Her biggest problem is trying to survive the academy. She was never really very book smart. But as secrets are revealed Cattail finds that danger is lurking just beneath the surface and will have to rely on some unexpected friends to save her sibs and possible all of Jade Mountain Academy Wings of Fire, Jade Mountain Academy, and the Dragonets of Destiny belong to Tui T. Sutherland. All non-book published characters were created by me. I am very sorry if some have other peoples dragons names. I Just want to give a special mention to Seamud for their character creator book that created Cattail because i seriously suck at Mudwing names. The names in the book are really good. So my first chapter with Cattail i feel i should deticate to Seamud. I created the cover on PicMonkey but the artwork isn't mine. This is my second WoF Fanfiction so lets see how it goes. There will later be vague references to my other one, this is years in the future.
