Rain, a quiet and violent 13 year old girl, lives in a poor orphanage on the streets of rundown California in 2047. She has to live with perverted teenage boys, a terrible therapist, the gang of boys that hog the basketball court, and a freaky roommate. Not to mention the fact she's trying to find the perfect family without creeping them out. --- Rain looked out her window. There were multiple worn out stains smudging the glass. The window made a shaking noise as the wind outside hit against it. She wrapped a blanket around her shoulders and her feet felt numb on the hard wood floor. The blanket was thin like paper, not helping with the wind coming in through the walls. Despite the circumstances, this was her favorite weather. Everybody in the world ignored her. It was a perfect time in space where she didn't exist. She was alone and free.
