Eine Mädchen in meinem Alter öffnete die Tür und schaute mich mit verhäulten Augen an.

Sie trug einen Pullover,der vom Hals bis zu den Armen alles verdeckte.

Ich fragte sie, was das für Geschreie und Geräusche waren,die ich gehört habe.

Sie antwortete darauf leise:,,Oh Sir,Danke für deine Aufmerksamkeit,aber ich habe nichts gehört.Ich müsste jetzt wieder reingehen.Ich wünschte ich könnte Ihnen von den Geräuschen erzählen,aber ich hab nichts gehört. Es muss der Wind gewesen sein."

Ich wiederholte ihren letzten Satz, um zu versuchen es zu glauben:,,Es muss der Wind gewesen sein."
