Lilly Van Dyck is not a normal girl. She has special "abilities" that make her abnormal. One day when she was a small girl at the age of six, she was playing a game her father had invented, when something strange happened. Her mother had seen it happen and next thing she knew her father was leaving, never to return to the house. She was left with her dreadfully mother. Lilly, now sixteen years old, spends the days in the small storage room upstairs, with her abusive mother in her house down stairs. When suspicion from the neighbors is found, her mother is forced to send lilly to school. Lilly finds that she is not the only abnormal one and that other people are looking for people like her. The abnormal ones. When an incident happens forcing lilly to go to a place people like her go to to hide, a revaluation is started. The abnormal people fight for there freedoms so they are no longer forced to live under ground, hiding from people unlike them. No longer forced to hide from the normal ones.
