Welcome to Powerless, the second book of The Moon Phase Trilogy!
This isn't your typical witch story ;)
Astoria Rune is a normal teenage girl. She goes to high school, she has a best friend, an older brother who is protective, parents who love her but never knows how to show it, and she is at the top of her class.
Although, being at the top of her class in book smarts isn't ideal, considering her high school is for spell users and potion makers.
In the middle of her second to last semester of Senior year of high school, Astoria is told by her parents that she is powerless. Though, her doctor said differently, trying to keep her hopes up. Her parents had continued to tell her the opposite and bombard her with questions, wanting to know what the doctor had said. She storms off and runs into the woods, tripping over a large silver dog crate. She gets hit in the head by something and somehow gets home.
After she wakes up from being knocked out, a shadow of something scurries across her eyes. Her doctor and brother are concerned and do all the research they can to figure out what it is.
Someone is trying to keep secrets hidden from her. Someone is trying to make sure she doesn't get her powers. She doesn't know who, but what she DOES know is that it's someone she trusts. The only real question is, why?
So, instead of taking her fate, she turns to a cluster of werewolves in the neighboring town for some help.
Find out what happens when Astoria runs into a familiar werewolf with a moon phase necklace that they claim is hers. Along with what happens when she puts it on and why her parents have lied to her for so many years.

Amelia's been trying to find her mother for as long as she can remember but all she has is a name. What neither Amelia nor Ezra knew, was that that name would connect them in a way neither would've ever imagined. She finds someone so broken under that cold exterior that she can't help but want to help him. They get thrown into a world of witches, wizards and magic and evil. They set off on a journey to become some of the most powerful witch and wizard to ever live, in order to defeat a great evil. Along the way, they recruit five other individuals each experienced in a different area of magic. Who will love and who will hate? Thousands of centuries ago humans, vampires, and werewolves lived together in harmony, considering one equal to the other. Ruled by a council of three kings, with one from each fullblood race, peace endured for quite some time. All of it was destroyed when many years later the new vampire and werewolf kings both wanted to rule over the kingdom alone. A massive war broke out between the vampires and the werewolves and millions of lives were lost. As time and generations went by, the kingdoms became more isolated and the common humans forgot that supernatural beings even existed. However, the war had never truly been resolved so the hatred that the vampires and werewolves had for each other endured. When a mysterious murder occurs, chaos breaks out within the kingdoms. A throne must be taken, blood must be shed, a choice must be made and all must be answered by a girl with purple eyes. "What are you?" He asks me, breaking the silence. I am quite shocked by this question. Mostly because I don't even know how to answer it. "Werewolf. I think... And you are a vampire," I state. He nods. "You don't smell like a werewolf." He lifts his hand to my neck, moving my hair aside, and looks at the bite mark on my shoulder. "And you don't taste like one." **this book is completed!!** This is a story about werewolves with some witches and vampires thrown in. -Preview- I opened my eyes to see a woman standing in front of me. I don't know who this woman is or what's wrong. She has beautiful silver hair that's matted with leaves and sticks. Her face though beautiful is distraught, her face is a very creamy pale color. Her lips are as red as blood. She has tears running down her face and a bruise just below her left eye. She's holding my necklace. The moonlight shines on the single engraved word "Noel". "Take this." She says, "Noel! Take this and run. Put it around your neck and never, NEVER take it off. It will keep you safe." The woman hears something and turns around to look, then looks back at me with panic and sorrow in her eyes. I hear a male voice behind her mumbling something, I can't make out what he's saying. I can't make out the man's face as he walks up behind the woman and squeezes her shoulders. He takes the necklace wincing and slips it over my head. They're talking to me but I can't hear what they're saying. I only see the panic in their face. "Noel! RUN." I hear screams and growls as I'm running as fast as I can. I make it out of the woods and onto a street. I hear the woman's blood curdling scream before I'm blinded by a light and everything fades to darkness.Complete
