Elyren has long been a mythical person, a manifestation of the countless stories and great deeds rather than an actual man. But as a friend, I have taken it upon myself to honor his life, detail the minutiae of his childhood, his adolescence as a warrior, and as a hero the world claimed as its. His life was one of virtue, and valor, and yet death did claim him as it does to all others who succumb to passion. Herein shall lie Elyren, glorified by my words, while I rest my conscience, four hundred years following his death.

I'm a vampire allergic to blood, and they say vampires are immortal. They fucking lied. A stake to the heart? Cute. The truth is blood-our own. Feeding on vampires keeps you eternal. Fall in love with a mortal (with them loving you back) and immortality unravels-first your fangs, then your power, then your life. For me, Auren Vale, that sounds like salvation. Two hundred years is too long to suffer when every drop of blood burns like fire. I'm ready to end it all. Then I meet Sienna Moren-the girl whose blood feels like poison and paradise. Loving her could kill me. Protecting her could destroy us all. And I've never wanted anything more. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⣀⣀⣠⣤⣤⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⣤⠤⣄⡴⠚⠛⢶⡋⠁⠈⠳⣄⠀⠙⢦⡀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⣠⠴⠶⢶⣏⠀⠀⠈⠳⣄⠀⠀⠙⢦⠀⠀⠘⢧⠀⠈⢷⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⢰⡇⠀⠀⠀⠙⢧⡀⠀⠀⠘⣧⠀⣀⣼⠧⡤⠴⠻⢦⡀⠸⡇⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⣠⠟⠙⠀⡀⠀⠀⠀⢷⠶⠶⠚⠉⠉⠉⠀⢰⠇⠀⠀⡼⠙⢦⡇⠀⠀ ⠀⣼⠃⠀⣠⠟⣹⠶⣄⡀⠘⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⡟⠀⠀⡼⠁⣤⣄⠁⠀⠀ ⢰⠇⠀⣸⠃⡴⠃⠀⠈⠛⣦⡇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠸⣆⡀⠘⠳⣤⣸⡌⢳⡄⠀ ⣼⠀⢀⡟⢰⠇⠀⠀⢤⡀⠙⠇⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠙⢷⡄⠀⠉⢻⡇⠈⢷⡀ ⣿⠀⢼⠃⡟⠀⠀⠀⢸⠙⢦⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠙⣆⢀⣼⠧⣄⠈⣇ ⢿⠀⠘⢦⡙⠳⣤⣀⣼⠀⠈⣧⠀⣀⡀⢀⣠⣤⣤⡶⠛⠛⢻⠀⠀⣿⠀⢻ ⠈⠳⣄⠀⠙⠶⣤⠉
The Coming of Finn by phfinn
13 parts Complete
Finn's father, Cumhal of Clan Baiscne, is assassinated on the night of his birth. Cumhal was lord captain of the famed Fianna of Erin, a much feared, mounted knighthood of woodsmen warriors who risked their lives to protect their island country's many miles of rugged coastline from marauders and invaders. The Captaincy of the Fianna is a blood right heritage passing from father to son and a position of enormous power in Erin, indeed, second only to the High King himself. Young Finn grows up continually hunted by his father's enemies, who seek his death to steal that heritage. He must find a way to overcome enormous trials, both mortal and immortal if ever he hopes to regain his father's ancestral seat. Will Finn unlock the mysterious secret of the famed Salmon of Knowledge and defeat the hundred-year-deceased spirit of a legendary sage of history who challenges him to a magical game of chess? Will he be able to solve the riddle of the Hag at the Well of Healing Waters? Most frightening of all, how will Finn overcome Aillean of the Flaming Breath, a creature spawned in the dark of the underworld that visits great evil upon the Land of Erin, claiming the lives of any who confront it? Only by victory over these and many other labors will young Finn grow to become the greatest of ancient Ireland's heroes, assuming at last the leadership to guide his countrymen in their noble quest for freedom. His tale is full of the whimsy of Faery, the guiding influences of the gods, and the deepest questions of honor, the code of manhood, courage and integrity.
Bliss in The Abyss by DeckardNobody
9 parts Ongoing Mature
The world is radiant. Its cities hum with light, its oceans gleam with towers that stretch toward new suns. Humanity thrives among wonders once thought divine - not in ruin, but in splendor. Yet even paradise leaves a shadow. Beneath its marble calm, something ancient watches. In the city of Magna Hortus, a man named Solomon Bliss drifts unseen through the streets, followed by the songs of the dead. Once mortal, now cursed to feel every echo of life that lingers after death, he serves no master but the music that binds him to the forgotten. To most, he is a myth - a spirit in human shape - but to a boy from the Mawlands, he will become something far greater. That boy is Edgar Cobb, clever, restless, and marked by a world that refuses to let him belong. When he meets Bliss, he finds not salvation but initiation - a descent into the mysteries that pulse beneath the city's immaculate surface. Through Bliss, he will learn how the living and the dead are woven together, and how easily the thread can snap. Far beyond them, upon the outer wall of the world, Borghild Bock - the Allmother - returns from twenty-five years of cosmic adventuring. Her people welcome her home with reverence and celebration. To them, she is the mother of nations, the protector of the human spirit. But far above, Lady Anima, sovereign of the tower, watches with quiet envy and ancient fear. For she knows the truth behind Borghild's immortality - and what was sacrificed to buy it. Across the world's icy edge, Hephaestus, the Sire of Machines, dreams of giving his creations souls. His machines worship him, his children obey him, but even he cannot stop what's coming. When faith collides with memory, when the divine faces its own reflection, the world will tremble - not from war, but from revelation.

The Last Phoenix (book 1)

17 parts Complete

Ren is a quiet teen in a small New Zealand town. He just wants to finish school, avoid the local bullies and maybe tell his best friend how he feels. But one blistering summer day he bursts into flames and emerges as the Sun God's champion: a radiant, female warrior. For generations, the Phoenix's power has passed through the women of his family, so his grandmother is as shocked as he is when it chooses a boy. As Ren struggles to control fire, wings and teleportation, strange phenomena - frozen lakes in summer, earthquakes that seem to think - signal that the world is unraveling. Ancient enemies known as the Shadows of the Eclipse feed on chaos and are awakening. Torn between hiding in his hoodie and facing a destiny he never wanted, Ren must decide who he is, what he will fight for and whether to trust the boy who's always been by his side. This isn't a fairytale. It's messy, queer, and sometimes heartbreaking. But if you're into mythic fantasy with real feelings, and a protagonist who literally sets himself on fire to save the world, jump in. The world's last Phoenix is a boy, and he's just getting started.
