Before Jon could lead the Free Folk against the Bolton's in Winterfell, someone got there first. Rhaenys did. Being a Faceless Man, she killed several of Bolton's top people and took their faces, becoming them. Slowly, she killed them, until only Ramsay was left, and finally, she killed him. The Northmen were so grateful to her, that they elected her Queen in the North. Many saw she had the North in her, so they did it without question. When Jon and the Wildings come to attack, they find the Bolton's gone.
